Annual Enrollment has ended

The benefit elections you made during Annual Enrollment will be effective January 1, 2022.

2022 benefits changes

These are the changes to your 2022 benefits. For an overview of your 2022 benefits, watch the new Benefits Videos. Note that the videos may not reference all of your executive benefits.

New benefit: Surgical Management Solutions (SMS)

Surgical Management Solutions (SMS) provides members with a surgical benefit enhancement to reduce how much members are paying out of pocket. SMS provides high-quality, low-cost outpatient surgical care options to members in their communities. You are eligible for SMS on January 1, 2022 if you enroll in a Baker Hughes UHC Medical plan for the 2022 plan year.

See the Executive Benefits Guide for more information about Surgical Management Solutions.

Health Savings Account

The Health Savings Account contribution limit is increasing to $3,650 (from $3,600 in 2021) for individual coverage and $7,300 (from $7,200 in 2021) for family coverage. Learn more about the Health Savings Account and company contributions if you enroll in the Premium HSA.

If you enroll in the Premium HSA Plan, the employer contribution will be made at the time you get your second paycheck of 2022.

Health Care Flexible Spending Account

The Health Care Flexible Spending Account contribution limit will be $2,750 in 2022. For full details about the Health Care Flexible Spending Account, read the Executive Benefits Guide.

Telemedicine copay

After you meet the deductible for the Medical plan, your Telemedicine copay will be $0 (you can find the list of current telemedicine facilities in the Benefits Guide).

Vision High Plan – Photochromic lenses

The Vision High Plan will have a slight increase; the Vision Low Plan design will not change.

Medical Plan rates

Due to the rising cost of health care in the United States, we are slightly increasing the cost to the medical plan contributions for all three Baker Hughes Plan. You can see the 2022 rates here.

Review your confirmation statement

Remember to review your Annual Enrollment confirmation statement to make sure you have the right benefits in place for 2022. Depending on the preference you elected, you will receive an email or a letter.

If you didn't enroll

If you didn’t enroll in Health & Protection benefits during Annual Enrollment, you’ll have the same benefits with the same coverage levels you have today, as long as you remain eligible. The exception is that you had to make an active election to contribute to the Health Care FSA, Dependent Care FSA, and/or the Health Savings Account or your account contributions will default to $0 in 2022.

Annual Enrollment is the time of year to make changes to your Health & Protection Benefits. Unless you experience a Qualified Status Change (like having a baby or getting married), your next opportunity to enroll or make changes to your benefits will be next year during Annual Enrollment.

There are no changes to the 401(k) plan benefit for 2022. However, you should consider contributing at least 5% in order to get the full company match, review your investment allocation, and make sure your beneficiaries are up to date..

The Supplemental Retirement Plan (SRP) enrollment will be later this year. You’ll be notified before enrollment begins.
