Both plans have the same deductible and provide the same coverage for preventive and basic services. Employees who expect to need major dental work or orthodontia may find greater value in the High Plan, while those primarily seeking coverage for routine and basic care may prefer the Low Plan
Cigna is the Dental plan administrator.
Cigna Dental does not issue Member ID Cards. You can either log in to your mycigna.com account or download the myCigna Mobile App to view or print a member ID card for yourself and any dependents you cover on the plan.

In the 2026 Dental plan, in-network orthodontia coverage is provided for dependent children up to age 19. The plan will pay 50% of the cost of orthodontic services, up to a lifetime maximum of $2,500.

Orthodontia in progress is a covered benefit. The accumulation (funds) will be carried over from the prior carrier. All dentist/participants will be responsible for submitting a dental claim to Cigna on or after January 1, 2023, in order for orthodontia services to continue.

Yes, wisdom teeth extraction is covered. In 2026, you will pay 20% coinsurance, after you meet the $50 calendar year deductible, up to the $2,500 calendar year maximum.
In 2027, you will pay 20% coinsurance, after you meet the $50 calendar year deductible. In 2027, the calendar year maximum will be $2,500 for the High Dental plan and $1,000 for the Low Dental plan. You can view the Dental plan comparison chart here.
The Dental plan covers routine cleanings and exams twice a year. You can get them at any time during the year. They do not have to be six months apart.

No. An ID card isn’t required to receive vision services or care. Call a VSP provider to schedule an appointment and tell them that you’re a VSP member. The provider and VSP will handle the rest.

LASIK surgery is not covered under our plan. However, VSP does offer a discount on laser correction surgery. Your VSP provider must first qualify you as a candidate for laser surgery. Then VSP will refer you to a contracted facility. The average discount is 15% off the regular price or 5% off the promotional price. Discounts are only available from contracted VSP facilities.
