You must enroll in your benefits within 60 days of your date of hire or transfer. The benefits you choose will be in effect as of your date of hire.
If you have questions about your Baker Hughes benefits, call the Baker Hughes Benefits Center at 1-847-883-0943 (worldwide) or 1-866-244-3539 (within the U.S.). They are available Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. CST.
New Hire Checklist
Here’s a benefits checklist to help you keep everything straight as you enroll in your benefits.

Enroll in your benefits.

Enroll within 60 days of your date of hire or transfer.
Have your dependents’ Social Security numbers on hand.
Confirm your elections.
For your Health & Protection benefits, you will automatically receive an emailed confirmation statement to your Baker Hughes email address. If you find any errors, contact the Baker Hughes Benefits Center immediately.
If you don’t take action, you will be automatically enrolled in the following coverages:
- -Cigna Medical Plan (Employee Only Tier)
- -Basic Life and AD&D Insurance
- -Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Protection
- -Retirement Benefits - See your benefits guide for specific information about the retirement benefit available to you based on your role at Baker Hughes.
