Paid Parental Leave or “PPL” is offered to all U.S. employees who have one year of service and are needing to take time off to bond with a newborn or for adoption purposes. PPL will provide 8 weeks of paid time off.

All U.S. Baker Hughes employees are eligible for Paid Parental Leave after one year of service with the company. Prior service with either GE Oil & Gas or BHI counts towards eligibility.
Paid Parental Leave must be taken continuously. For example, if you choose to take just 4 weeks of leave, you will forfeit the remaining 4 weeks.
Baker Hughes' Paid Parental Leave will be offset by any state disability you receive. For example, if you live in California and receive 60% of your pay from the state, Paid Parental Leave will pay 40%. You will not receive more than 100%.
