You may choose to use a network attorney and receive the network benefits of the plan or pay a higher cost when using an attorney that is out-of-network.

If you are pregnant and covered under a Baker Hughes Medical plan, you are eligible to participate in the UnitedHealthcare (UHC) Maternity Support Program (MSP) at no cost. The MSP provides a personalized approach that places resources at your fingertips before, during and after your pregnancy. Your spouse may also participate in the program if he or she is enrolled in your Medical plan.

2nd.MD is a consultative health service that offers expert medical opinions, at no cost to you if you are enrolled in a Baker Hughes UHC Medical plan. 2nd.MD connects you with board-certified, nationally-recognized specialists for expert medical consultants via phone or video. Specialist Management Solutions (SMS) is a holistic specialty solution that opens the door to affordable, quality care. SMS has a broad network of physicians in local communities, making finding a doctor more convenient for members. The SMS advocates can help members schedule consults with a provider, connect members with other benefit programs, and serve as the single point of contact throughout their health care journey. Specialists in the SMS alliance use ambulatory surgery centers (ASC), which means employees may receive surgical care and other procedures in an outpatient setting which may result in cost savings. The SMS program is available at no cost to the member.

The Baker Hughes Survivor Support Program is a resource for survivors when an employee and/or dependent death occurs. This benefit provides beneficiaries with direct access to a Survivor Advocate to assist in managing all benefit items when an unfortunate loss occurs.
